About me

Hi, my name is Angie. I am a registered midwife, and mother of three who has been working in the NHS most of my adult life. I have been working as a community midwife for the past five years and have had the privilege of caring for many women and their babies throughout their pregnancies, labours and throughout their postnatal period.

Increasingly over the years, the NHS has sadly been stretched and this often leads to women not being able to access their midwife so readily. We aim as midwives to provide the very best of care and give our undivided attention, but this can often be difficult with huge caseloads and shortfalls in staffing. Over time I have been getting increasingly frustrated with not being able to provide the time and space that I feel pregnant women so rightly deserved.

This is why I have decided to go independent and offer private midwifery care, that is individual to the needs of you and your baby. One size does not fit all. Every woman is different and every pregnancy is different. I want to provide the best care to help you feel empowered and enjoy your pregnancy, birth and postnatal period. All antenatal and postnatal consultations will be provided in your own home, where you can feel at ease and safe. There will be no time constraints. I believe that having that protected time is crucial to a more fulfilling experience in pregnancy and beyond!

I am passionate about providing a space that allows time for just you!
